Happy New Year Friends and Neighbors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone out there have a New Year gunna list?
I’m gunna eat healthier. I’m gunna loose weight - exercise more –clean out that closet… again – Spend time with an old friend – I’m gunna do more for others – for me:) The list is endless.
New Years Day brings with it many gunna lists. All those things we were gunna do last year and well… never got around to it or we only lasted a week. I was gunna call you but…. Have you ever noticed that a “but” wipes out everything before it. I would have come, but…. I would have helped you, but…. I know I said I would, but….
Oh Well, all of our gunna’s keep us humble, so as we strive to fulfill our gunna’s and remove our buts….Give yourself a break when you fall short and remember, God lifts up the humble and brings down the proud. So…have a great New Year and give thanks in all things even your weaknesses, for it positions you to be lifted up.
Bread on the Water: A huge THANK YOU, to everyone who gave so generously to the Brumfield family who lost everything in a pre-Christmas fire. They were overwhelmed by the generosity of Lake Ramsey. You have truly outdone yourselves.
You Light up my Life
Another Thank you to all of you who gave your time, energy and decorations to make our entrance ”shine” during the Christmas holidays. You never cease to amaze me how you step up to bat when there is a need or project. Many positive comments have come in praising your work, and I personally would love to say THANK YOU for a job well done. I love you all!!!
Welcome to all those who are just moving in. I hope this will make your transition easier.

Fish tales- We have all been waiting for the weather to turn cold and the Crappie to start biting. Well this news is hot off the Urban dock … Mike Urban caught a 2.3 Lb. Crappie last night and says that they are now biting and they are big. When asked what his secret was, he said that he used live shiners and fished 3 ft. off of the bottom.
**A fish tip for those of us who are not so savvy…. Always fish above the Crappie…. They don’t go down for the bait but will only go up towards it. Who would have guessed????? So… Ramsey Fishermen and women, turn on those deck lights, buy some shiners, and bring home the bacon, I mean the Crappie. Happy Fishing !!!!

A Note from our New President
Dear Lake Ramsey Property Owners,
The new Property Owners’ Board is looking forward to serving the community this year. There are many issues that we need to address, the main one of course being the street repairs. You may be asking if it will all be finished this year? Unfortunately, the answer is no. There are simply too many repairs to be done to the streets, which include the drains under the streets and the expense is just too much to have finished in one year, but we are in the planning stages and by prioritizing we will work diligently to get these much needed repairs underway as soon as possible. All of the board members drive on the street and believe me, we all want the streets fixed too!
If you have concerns for the neighborhood or questions you are encouraged to call your Phase Representative who in turn will bring it before the board at the next Homeowner’s Meeting. The Board Meetings are the fourth Thursday of the moth at 7:00p.m. at the fire station on La.25 (where you vote). You are welcome to attend, however if you wish to speak at the meeting you must be placed on the agenda beforehand by calling your Representative or myself.
All of us on the board are excited about the year and very conscious of the trust you have placed in us and we look forward to doing our best to make our subdivision the best place to live on the Northshore.
Sincerely,
Jan Miller, President

Survey questions of the month?
The majority of us have expressed our frustration in waiting for the city to fix our entrance, and culvert area. We are tired of bouncing through the gate, day in and day out. We are all tired of hearing them tell us …Two more weeks. What can we do????
We have 2 choices (as I see it). 1. Fix it ourselves and incur the expenses (consider…The cost of repair will be quite expensive and not in the budget (so it would require an additional assessment to fix it ourselves) or 2.Wait and bombard them with complaints until they move forward. Road Complaints should be directed to Councilman Red Thompson 626-4406 (the squeaky wheel gets the oil…we can make some noise and threaten to cast our vote else ware) Vote on what you would like to see done. 1. or 2 . Got any other ideas.. Let the editor know…We are all in this together!!!
