BUTTERMILK BROWNIES

1 Stick Oleo
1 Cup Water
½ Cup Oil
¼ Cup Cocoa

Bring to a boil and pour over and mix together:

2 Cups Sugar
2 Cups Flour
½ Tsp Salt

Add:

½ Cup Buttermilk
2 Eggs
1 Tsp Soda
1 Tsp Vanilla

Mix thoroughly & pour into greased 11 X 16 pan.  Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.
If you use a deeper pan, bake for 30 minutes.

Ice immediately from oven.

Icing:

1 Stick Oleo
¼ Cup Cocoa
1/3 Cup Buttermilk

Bring to boil & pour over:

1 Box Powdered Sugar
1 Cup Nuts
1 Tsp Vanilla

Pour over cake.

To make buttermilk:
1 Cup Milk
1 Tsp Vinegar

I mix all of this by hand you don't need a mixer.
