BLACKBERRY COBBLER

Prepare sweet dough:

mix 1 Cup sugar
1 Cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
small can (5 oz.) of evaporated milk (do not use regular milk)


Filling:

4 cups of blackberries
1 cup sugar
4 Tab. cornstarch and a very small amount of water.
Cook until thickened (usually as soon as it comes to a boil).
Remove from fire and add 1/2 tsp. vanilla.


Melt one stick of butter in a 10 x 10 pan.
Add the dough, top with berry filling and DO NOT STIR!
Bake at 350 for 30 min.

You may substitute any other berry or fruit.
